Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of wax do you use?

NatureWax C-3: This product is an all-natural soy-based wax from Cargill. It finishes creamy and opaque and is preferred for its glass adhesion that minimizes wet spots, has little to no frosting, and has the ability to single-pour without additives.

How do you fragrance your candles?

LIVARI candle scents are made of unique blends of essential oils from DoTerra. What are essential oils? Essential oils are the essence of a plant, a gift from the earth, distilled and prepared for you to bring the power of nature into your home. Inside many plants—hidden in roots, seeds, flowers, bark—are concentrated, highly potent chemical compounds. These natural compounds are essential oils. Essential oils give a plant its scent, protect it from hazardous environmental conditions, and even assist it with pollination, among other important functions and benefits. When you use essential oils, you'll have more natural solutions and fewer toxic, synthetically manufactured products in your life and home.

What do you do with extra materials?

Our goal is minimal to no waste during each production session. Wax is melted in small batches that are weighed to ensure accurate fill rates for the amount of containers available. Oils are also measured before the start of a project to ensure the exact wax to oil ratio for every batch poured. Large candles are prepared and poured first so that left over wick tops can be used in small tea light candles. Additional materials that remain for various reasons go into special one-time-only batches used to help promote LIVARI through gifting and community engagement.

Where do you ship?

Where did the name LIVARI come from?

The founder of LIVARI is Liv Aasen. Her older sister is named Ari. Growing up the sisters were always referred to as Ari and Liv. So Liv flipped their names so she could be referenced first for once in their sisterhood, hence Liv and Ari became LIVARI. The name of the company is ultimately homage to Liv's family. Liv's mom also inspired the beginning of LIVARI as a former candlemaker herself. Her passion for wellness through the use of essential oils, hands-on healing, and other holistic wellbeing practices inspired Liv to share her own take on personal wellness through nature-inspired aromatherapy in new forms.
